The assignment to unlock this gun is very easy – just use a stinger for a bit on an open map like Golmund Railway.Īfter some play-time on Gulf of Oman, this solid and very underrated LMG will be yours. With a high fire-rate and good magazine size (grinding for extended magazine is not a problem you have to worry about in BF4) the MP7 is devastating at close and even mid-range. My favourite weapon from BF3 returns to BF4 in the China Rising expansion, and while it is not the absolute best weapon I have used in Bf4, the weapon is still good enough (and seemingly underused enough) for me to mention it here. Of course, the gun also looks great, with its handlebar iron sight and adjustable stock. With good iron-sights and easily manageable recoil, the M4 is one of my favourite mid-range weapons in the game – being a carbine also means that you can use the weapon on all classes. Once you get that rhythm right, though, you have yourself an excellent gun (at least in my opinion). This iconic carbine from the United States is purely burst-fire, meaning you have to time your clicks well to achieve automatic fire. Just slap on heavy barrel along with whatever other attachments you like (I prefer a 1x with the hybrid sight) and you have yourself a mighty gun.
All you have to do is use the burst-fire option. More damage, more fire-rate, and it is far easier to control. You can fire each burst much faster than your average DMR, and (most certainly in close-quarters) there is far more damage potential with two slightly weaker shots, than with the one from a DMR. What separates burst fire on the AN-94 to any other weapon is the fact it fires a quick and accurate two-round burst. That success is down to one reason – the weapon’s burst-fire mode. This weapon is one of my favourites in the entire game – it is the one I have used the most, and had the most success with.
Some of my favourite guns are practically unused by other players, with many considering their use simply unheard of. I thought I would make a post about some of those lesser liked weapons – and those that, in my opinion, deserve a higher rating among players. Some are good, some are very popular, and some are…less liked. There are nearly 90 different weapons in BF4 (not including equipment, pick-ups, grenades and the different kinds of knife). And even if many weapons are quite similar in operation, having a great choice in aesthetic appearance is also very good (yes I am that kind of person.) But if there is one thing I like in a game, it’s having choice. Many people dislike the sheer amount of weapons in the game – or rather, how many similar weapons there are.
A game that remains one of my favourite all-time FPS games.
